The ZGS series modular transformer, also known as the American-style transformer, is a product line developed to meet the needs of urban and rural power grid construction, expansion, and renovation. It integrates the transformer core, switching equipment, fuses, tap changers, low-voltage distribution devices, and other auxiliary components into a single unit, fulfilling various configuration requirements such as energy metering, reactive power compensation, and low-voltage branching. As an independent complete power transformation and distribution system designed for AC 50 Hz networks at 6–10 kV with rated capacities ranging from 63 to 1600 kVA, the ZGS-type modular transformer is suitable for both outdoor and indoor applications. It finds extensive use in industrial parks, urban residential communities, commercial centers, high-rise buildings, temporary construction sites, and diverse other environments.

Modular substation: A set of integrated equipment units that have passed type testing. Key components include transformers, high-voltage switchgear and control equipment, low-voltage switchgear and control equipment, corresponding internal connection cables (cables, busbars, etc.), and auxiliary equipment. Connected via cables, the modular substation can be operated from both its interior and exterior, and is suitable for installation on or beneath ground, either partially or fully.
