XGN15-12 AC Metal-Enclosed Ring Main Unit(RMU)

The XGN15-12 ring main switchgear housing is fabricated from aluminum-zinc coated steel plates, galvanized steel plates, or cold-rolled steel plates through CNC machining, with the panel surface treated by powder coating. The switchgear consists of four mutually isolated compartments: the busbar chamber, switch body, cable compartment, operating mechanism, and control room. A pressure relief channel is provided at the rear of the cabinet, featuring a rational, compact, and practical structural design. It features a compact size, easy and flexible operation, a comprehensive and reliable five-prevention interlock system, simple and convenient installation, stable performance and installation, as well as scalability.

The XGN15-12 is a unitized, modular sulfur hexafluoride (SF6)-based AC metal-enclosed ring main switchgear. As a first-generation model featuring SF6 switches as the primary components and fully air-insulated cabinets, it is designed for power distribution automation applications—combining compactness with expandability while offering a simple structure, flexible operation, and reliable interlocking mechanisms.

With features such as easy installation, it provides satisfactory technical solutions for a wide range of application scenarios and diverse user requirements.

The integration of sensing technology and state-of-the-art protection relays, combined with advanced technical performance and a lightweight, flexible installation solution, enables effective fulfillment of evolving market demands.

The XGN15-12 unitized sulfur hexafluoride ring main unit is designed for AC 50 Hz, 12 kV power systems and widely used in industrial and residential cable ring networks as well as end-of-line power supply projects. It is particularly suitable for the following applications: special sites requiring automatic switching between dual power supplies, urban residential power distribution, small secondary substations, and switchgear stations.
